Description
Dr. Chong-Gayle is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience, including 25 years leading a solo pediatrics practice, providing compassionate, patient-centered care to children and families across Long Island. Dr. Chong-Gayle earned her medical degree from the University of Montemorelos in Mexico and completed her pediatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY, where she served as chief resident. Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Chong-Gayle is deeply committed to medical education and mentorship, as she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Zucker School of Medicine in Hempstead, NY, for more than a decade. She has also participated in numerous medical missions, providing pediatric care in underprivileged countries including Jamaica, Peru, Haiti and St. Lucia. Outside of medicine, Dr. Chong-Gayle enjoys reading, international travel, tapestry and needlework, bike riding, playing the piano, and spending time volunteering within her community.
